New Furusato was founded by long term foreign residents of Japan who have had the tremendous fortune to have lived and worked in the Japanese countryside and to call these places our home. 

The word “furusato” means “hometown.” The company name New Furusato has two complementary meanings. First, as non-Japanese, these towns and villages have become our “second hometown.” Second, we hope to contribute to the renewal of these communities, and so for the locals their hometown will be made “new” again.
